Time Peace

General/Column No Response

Time stood still.

A parade of events pulled at her skirts
and finally she dug in her heels.

Moments ground to a halt and toddled, bewildered.

Time closed her eyes
and drew in her breath,
smoothing her hair in a vacuum of constancy.

Breathing out
she stepped forward,
gathering Instances and Occasions in her fleshy arms,
once again
propelling them along.


Bonnie Rae Walker is a graduate of UCI with a degree in Drama emphasizing playwriting. She has since traveled, taken odd jobs and continued to write. A few pieces have been published but most reside in various thumb drives. She does not yet have a twitter handle.
